When It Hits Close to Home—San Bernardino Mass Shooting

Just a couple weeks ago there was a terrorist attack at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, CO, and earlier today at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, CA, 3 armed gunman entered the facility where they began shooting. 20 people were wounded with 14 people killed.

The Inland Regional Center houses and assists those with developmental disabilities. The first fact that the shooting took places just minutes and a few cities over from my city and work is one high concern and the other being that several friends, family members, and business associates do live and work directly in San Bernardino. The biggest irritant is not that this type of “terrorist attack” keeps occurring, but that they have now targeted a facility where the mentally disturbed are trying to get help. These type of people are no threat to anyone, so why target them?

So much can be said about the situation, but as of right now the one thing we all could do is to continue to pray for San Bernardino as a whole, as most know before today’s occurrence, the city has been having it’s daily struggles for the past few years.  Also pray for the victims and their families affected by it.
