Saba is a five square mile island located in the northeastern Caribbean Sea. It boasts a beautiful landscape with majestic blue waters, stunning mountains, and lush gardens.

Saba, also known as the “Unspoiled Queen,” is one of the most exquisite destinations in the Caribbean and remains mostly untouched by tourists. An estimated 9,200 people visited Saba in 2017 compared to 6.2 million tourists that visited the Dominican Republic during the same timeframe.

Located about 30 miles away from St. Maarten, visitors are drawn to Saba for its year-round tropical temperatures, hiking Mt. Scenery (the highest point in the Dutch Kingdom), and the views at Elfin Forest where you can find a myriad of other unique and rare plants.

What To Do In Saba

Saba National Marine Park

The Saba National Marine Park was established in 1987 to preserve and manage the island’s marine environment. The marine park encompasses the waters and sea bed encircling Saba. Approximately one-third of the park is zoned primarily for diving.

Past volcanic activity created spectacular formations and structures such as underwater lava flows and hot springs. If you have the chance to dive, you will find reefs populated with schools of tropical fish and coral.
