Poetry Corner: Reminiscing

I was so ghetto chasing street dreams but that changed after I awoke the intellectual before it was cool to get in them rooms and falsetto.

First 48 locked in with detectives watching them chip away and spin the perspective, never in doubt my pledge to loyalty runs deep my uncle sentenced to 65 a true example of a real one so I’m the streets he’ll die royalty.

The legacy was my trajectory before I encountered the prophecy, understanding life is a philosophy we mean more than throwing led wrapped in metal entertaining these white devils.

The hood feels like another life I don’t want to remember I wasn’t living rite our roots are planted deep time made my trunk strong bend but don’t break limber, my friends not so much into society they wanted to be a member so to the system they fell timber.
