Poetry Corner: If You Know You Know

Can’t say I’m outraged,

It happens on a daily basis,

It just becomes another raw,

But riveting protest or march.

We need to defend ourselves,

Maybe if we organize we can learn some revolutionary principles,

Speaking like I’m Huey P.

We get no respect or due diligence,

25 plus seasons in and people still care more about Bart quoting “Eat My Shorts”.

#Alllivesmatter where?

My brother’s and sister’s brown melanin bodies,

The police keep piling up in the streets.
