“My life comes down to three moments: the death of my father, meeting my husband, and the birth of my daughter. Everything I did previous to that just doesn’t seem to add up to very much”
In life we celebrate several milestones from graduations, weddings, buying your first home, buying your first car, and the list goes on. Among each important and life-changing milestone in our lifetimes those that experience becoming parents say that it’s one of the best gifts that could ever receive. Those that are young who may have experienced an unexpected pregnancy, and for a number of reasons things didn’t work out with the baby’s other parent, the one thing that they look back and thank that person for is for giving them a “new life” and they thank that child for “changing their life”, and some thank that child for “saving their lives”.
For those that go on to have more kids and to start a family with a future spouse, one of the most exciting things for them is to find out that they are expecting, and then an even more anticipating moment to find out ‘what’ they are having. This special moment is often shared with those close to the expectant parents, and are now being shared through inmate Baby Revel Parties.
At a Baby Revel Party, it is similar to a baby shower without the gifts. Loved ones get together and mingle and await for the couple to slice the cake to revel either a ‘blue’ or ‘pink’ cake filling. There are also cupcakes that each guests can have when it’s time to revel what the gender of the baby is. This event is fun and interactive, and as the day goes on ‘Guessing Games’ can be played and whoever guessed right can receive a gift.
It’s 2014, and a year to be more creative with EVERYTHING!
