Poetry Corner: I Am A Revolutionary

Just because you wear a blue uniform and a badge doesn’t mean you turn your back on your skin or do you truly fear the Gods you feel within? Speak up we’re dying at an alarming rate “Daniel Cameron” but let us not forget every brother isn’t a brother.

A rebel, a martyr, a activist, a revolutionary you can call me by many of labels but it’ll never stop until the tables have shifted, I’ve watched & can take no more I’m awoke no longer vision twisted I rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

I’m dedicated to the cause of changing the outcome taking on the pain that so many have to bare even if we start with just one, we gotta shift the narrative we’ve known which seems to be none because I get tempered turning my TV on seeing a distraught black crying mother.

The ultimate sacrifice the dedication of life to my ancestors & all my brothers and sisters we’ve seen on tape taken by an unjust death to early begging for their lives even with proper manners don’t forget we even say please.
