Inglewood Nonprofit to Give Away FREE Baby Supplies To Moms In Need!
Are you currently covering community-based stories? Looking to cover a story on what black leaders are doing for their communities? LOOK NO FURTHER!
I’m A Movement Not A Monument (IAMM), a 5o1c3 non-profit organization, has joined forces with The Level Up Store, R. Baron and Mackk & Co on its first SAVE THE BABIES giveaway event to help hundreds of mothers and children throughout the Inglewood community.
According to USC’s Understanding Coronavirus in America Study, women without a college degree suffered more job losses than men and bore a significantly higher responsibility for childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to combat such disparity, IAMM and its partners will distribute up to $5,000 worth of free baby items such as diapers, wipes, blankets, clothing, and more!
Children will also have the opportunity to sign up for free virtual tutoring sessions for the school year through IAMM’s No Child Left Behind Tutoring program.
“Now is a time to step up and work together to help those in need, especially the mothers who are struggling the most to take care of their black and brown babies,” states Duran Bowie.
Facemasks are required.
As a local grassroots organization, IAMM is on a mission to empower today’s youth through academic excellence and life skills development.
